Design Brief
For this project, I chose to brand a fictional coffee shop. My goal was to further explore typography differently than I have during previous projects. My preferred type is clean, simple, and versatile. I wanted to plan a project that pushed me outside of my comfort zone and forced me to use a fun, unique typeface and make it work with the identity of the business. I chose to brand a coffee shop with a vintage, organic, retro feel. The logo is playful and curvy and incorporates elements into the type. I gathered inspiration from interviewing a local business owner, touring her space, and putting my own spin on branding using her existing name and feel for her business.
