Design Objective
Design a poster that can be used to represent and advertise the Annual Catawba Valley Festival of the Arts event in Hickory, NC. The design should embrace community and a variety of art forms.
Design Brief
Each year, the Catawba Valley Festival of the Arts committee hosts a poster contest in the community to find the design they will use to advertise the festival. In 2023, I participated in this contest and won over the other designers in the community. The main elements on the poster show people embracing in a circle. This represents community and everyone coming together to celebrate their love for the arts. The background is colorful with paint splotches, along with musical, theatrical, dance, and film/ photography elements. The campaign was expanded to include posters, postcard mailers, and social media platforms for the foundation.
